The BT DC AC series comprises a range of thrusters powered by a three-phase asynchronous brushless electric motor. The motor is controlled by a motor controller, which must be installed nearby. Components in contact with water are made of suitable materials, such as the gearbox, manufactured in aluminium-bronze alloy. The anode is made of aluminium and the output shaft of stainless steel. The thrusters may be made of either plastic or aluminium-bronze alloy, depending on the model.
