The Quick BTR 250-120 retractable bow thruster features a counter-rotating dual-propeller system, designed to deliver powerful, efficient and precise maneuvering for a wide range of vessels. Its retractable structure minimizes hydrodynamic drag when not in use, improving navigation performance and fuel efficiency.

Structure and Installation
A key element of the system is the separate counter-flange, available in composite, aluminum or stainless steel. Isolated from the load-bearing structure of the thruster, it ensures an easy, safe and regulation-compliant installation, greatly simplifying the mounting process and providing long-term stability.
The motor, solidly integrated into the hull structure, operates a single moving component that crosses the “internal–external” barrier. This architecture, protected against mechanical overloads caused by accidental impacts and featuring an open system design, significantly enhances the safety and durability of the entire mechanism.

High-quality materials
A further guarantee of reliability is the high-quality materials used (Nibrall and AISI316) for both custom and off-the-shelf parts.
The system integrates highly effective sacrificial anodes that protect the propeller and metal parts from galvanic corrosion, ensuring a longer lifespan. Excellent resistance to marine corrosion and high mechanical strength are guaranteed.

Integrated electronics and compact dimensions
The BTR 185-65 also benefits from enhanced galvanic protection, thanks to the use of sacrificial anodes.
Compact overall dimensions and integrated electronic controls further add to the advantages of the Quick BTR series, making this thruster an excellent choice for precise and dependable maneuvering, even in tight docking spaces or difficult weather conditions.
