Sika® Primer-290 DC

Sika® Primer-290 DC is a solvent-based primer, ranging from colorless to slightly yellow, which reacts with moisture to form a thin active layer. This layer ensures an effective bond between the substrate and adhesives, significantly improving adhesion.
It is specifically formulated for the treatment of wooden planks prior to caulking with Sikaflex®-290 DC or bonding with Sikaflex®-298.
Sika® Primer-290 DC is ideal for enhancing adhesion on various materials, including teak, mahogany, Oregon pine, and polyester-based GRP surfaces.

Application instructions:
Must be used in combination with Sikaflex®-290 DC sealant (codes 463COL737, 463COL744, 463COL755) for caulking joints, and with Sikaflex®-298 for bonding on oily woods such as teak or iroko.
