Marine grade bronze and cupro-nickel keel cooler.
Use of a keel cooler provides excellent heat exchange between the seawater and the refrigerant to obtain maximum performance from a system. Available with quick couplings only.
The elimination of electro-mechanical components (seawater pump, condenser fan) provides lower power consumption and maintenance costs.
The hydrodynamic shape and low profile reduces friction, while underway, and prohibits fouling by loose objects in the water.
The specific shape and the external installation on the hull provides continuous contact between the seawater and the surface area of the exchanger, providing optimal performance of the cooling unit – even in tropical waters.
During installation, it is recommended to avoid locating the keel cooler inside any hull cavities which could cause hot water stagnation around the exchanger and compromise the cooling unit’s performance.
